Jim Ryan returned to Tribes Beekeepers Association yesterday by popular demand to demonstrate the skills involved in the production of cosmetics using beeswax with various other raw materials.

Seán Duffy shows members Ian Speirs and Gerry Mac Eoin how to quickly make a pinewood NUC from scratch. No tea and cakes today. Straight down to work. Seán, chairman of the Tribes Beekeepers Association, builds his own hives and NUCs and agreed to give a small demonstration to a small group of members at the clubhouse on Saturday.

Mr Jim Ryan will demonstrate the art of using honey and beeswax in making fabulous soap, hand balm and lip balm. This is a great way to see how to make these beautiful items and will guide you in creating them yourself.

On the day, Jim will begin by showing the participants how to ‘clean’ wax properly. He’ll then go on to teach how to make the above mentioned products and will answer any questions we have along the way.
